We are closed on bank holidays. A clinician may not be in the building at lunchtime or at the end of the day.
Extended opening times
We also offer some appointments outside our normal hours:
- Tuesday, 7am to 8am – GP telephone appointments only
- Tuesday, 6.30pm to 8pm – nurse appointments, and GP appointments after a phone assessment
- one Saturday a month, 8.30am to 1.30pm – nurse appointments, and GP appointments after a phone assessment
Important: If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111. NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Between 6pm and 6.30pm, you can phone 01904 943777 to speak to an emergency doctor.
Urgent treatment centre
An urgent treatment centre may also be able to help with your problem. The nearest is at Selby Hospital, open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
Staff there can treat new problems, including:
- sprains, strains and broken bones
- back, shoulder and chest injuries
- minor burns and scalds
- wound infections, insect and animal bites
- minor eye injuries and eye infections
- coughs and chest infections, and sore throats
- urinary tract infections
- minor skin complaints and rashes
- emergency contraception
- Selby minor injuries unit
- York urgent care centre
- Goole urgent treatment centre
- Pontefract urgent treatment centre
Accessibility
At the surgery we have:
- step-free access through the main door
- wheelchair access, and a wheelchair you can borrow while you are here
- two accessible toilets – one in the main waiting room, one in the same day care area
- an induction loop, including a portable one you can ask reception for
- baby changing facilities
Tell us if you find it hard to hear your name called in the waiting room. We will note it on your record and come and collect you.
Tell us if you need an interpreter, or have any other access or communication needs.
